Origami Archangel Base

My Balrog model was the result of about 5 years contemplation on the subject - I am happy with all features of the result except for the hands/arms, which are far too clumsy and thick. One reason for this is easily fixable: all five fingers are in a row below the sword/whip, when the thumb should be pulled in on the opposing side. My motivation for fixing this was hampered by the second reason: the asymmetry of the whip caused the left arm to absorb every single layer of that side of the paper, making it ridiculously thick. I had no desire to expend the time and energy re-designing my Balrog until I had resolved that issue, yet I had an overwhelming desire to fix the finger arrangement of the hands. Removing the asymmetry would remove the defining characteristic of the whip, so I decided to fold an entirely different subject - an archangel.
